Calm rocks

I wonder if painting circular shapes on rocks could be used as tools for calming students? Researcher, Marilyn Read (2010) suggests that circles are considered to be a more inviting and calming shape. Obviously, there would have to be expectations for their use (we don't want rocks thrown at windows) but perhaps, if children decorated them, they would take care of them.
