Motivation for learning - taxonomies

When we think about what is important for students to become self-motivated learners, we need to remember a few things. Students need to have self-direction (Pew, 2007) and self-efficacy (Cherry, 2017) and know how to be reflective (Pappas, 2010). Developed from research and my own experiences, I have tried to encapsulate how to encourage self-motivation in learners through three key taxonomies.
